Powerful music indeed, I know what you mean. Not like obon but similar, I've listened to an album of the Taiko drummers, and every time I've done it I couldn't get it out of my head for days.

When you watch it, you can help but thinking, they can't do anything the cool way, they have to make an art of it. Of everything. Make it perfect and grade those who do it with coloured belts.

Perfectionists.... I guess that's what makes them cool though.

P.S. to my previous comment:

I know coloured belts are a western thing, the Japanese have only two colours: black & white. You either know your stuff or you don't.

Even here they are perfect...
