Casual sightseeing in Tokyo - Inari Shrine in Nihonbashi
By Muza-chan on Jun 6, 2009 | In Japan travel | 1 feedback »
The article from yesterday, about the little Inari Shrine from Akihabara, was very well received (and had a big spike in traffic) and I was asked if I know more of those small shrines hidden in the urban jungle.
My favorite discovery was in Nihonbashi, also an Inari Shrine, hidden between huge modern buildings:
If if you wish to see it, here is the Google Maps link and the street view:

Casual sightseeing in Tokyo - The fountain at Nihonbashi Bridge
By Muza-chan on Apr 21, 2009 | In Japan travel | Send feedback »
Near Nihonbashi Bridge, there’s a big fountain, a half-round wall on which the water falls continuously. A relaxing and refreshing place, especially on a hot July day.
There was nobody around and I enjoyed a lot the flowing water and the colors of the water covered rock, so I stayed quite a long time to take pictures, searching for water effects.
I was hard to convince to leave. ![]()
