Beautiful picture, speaking of which, we have Sakura-like trees around here in Costa Rica with pink blossoms, Japanese call them Costa Rica Zakura ^^

Beautiful photos! I've known "Sakura, Sakura" since I was a little girl - my mother had a record of songs from around the world, and Sakura was the song for Japan!

I will sing this at my voice recital in May. Is "Sakura" the official song of Japan, or is it only a very popular traditional folk song?

It's just a traditional Japanese folk song, composed during the Edo period to teach children to play koto.
