Hi Muza-Chan, your photos are fantastic! I must visit Japan; it's a different world to the 800-year-old University of Cambridge close to where I live. Indigo

I remember my first time going into stores that occupy those narrow buildings. It is amazing how much stuff they cram in per floor, including along the stairway. Certainly not the place to be in if you are claustrophobic.

Like everyone else, so much is cramed into such a small area. They should put a sign out front, saying if your claustrophobic don't enter.

Probably there are not many claustrophobics in Japan. The buildings looks kind of nice though.

That's really cool. It looks like someone lives upstairs in the tiny one on the left. I'm tall and I could probably lie on the floor and touch both walls.

narrow buildings common in india city, just 6 - 10 feet wide. But Japan, Quake- resist?

during the 1970's we read about 6 feet cube rooms, fitting in all the necessities of a single person life. do you find any now 2009?
