Green spaces in Tokyo

In Tokyo, every square inch of green space is precious and must be used at maximum. Since long time ago, those who have not been able to have a garden, have found a simple and beautiful solution: the flower pots placed on the floor or on the sidewalk, near the entrance.

The flower pots are a simple solution, however, an unusual and attractive architectural solution are these apartment buildings in Suginami, with green spaces arranged on the roofs. I would love to have something like this at home…

I am always impressed at how much the Japanese include the beautiful in all they do! This addition of trees, plants, and flowers is just that and makes their living space so much prettier.

with not much space left in Japan I can see why people are using that type of space for adding the greenery. Really nice set up for the pots in front and the ones on the patios. the photo of the roof tops makes it look like you are walking up steps og green. Really cool look!B)

Eu am mai vazut si in Franta zone verzi pe acoperisul blocului. Ar fi atat de bine daca am avea asa ceva in Bucuresti, ne-ar mai scoate din griul cotidian ^_^
