Another small shrine, hidden between tall, modern buildings, on Edo Dori, in Asakusa:

The Torii is located behind a small fence and could easily pass unnoticed:

I discovered it just because the hotel where I was accomodated was three buildings away (the building with orange, visible here on Google Maps):

It looks like a loely place to visit. I have always heard that Japan if very crowded..this doesn't look that way!

I love these small shrines. I also like that you put the Google Street View.

I wonder if these small shrines are devoted to specific Shinto deities?

Yes, the Shinto shrines are always devoted to specific kami. The two small Inari shrines from my previous articles are devoted to Inari. But I wasn't able to identify to which god is devoted this shrine...
