Maido Moe but Some Maids are not smiling which makes me Sad :(

Its Sad to see Maids doing these things on the streets because to me Maids are suppose to be in Cafes and serving there masters

Stalker!

Only kidding. There were really nice shots there and some of the maid costumes were pretty cool.

I can understand how some can be annoyed by their picture all the time. I used be a santa at the mall, and 1 time the parents put their child on my lap, and then both of them started taking pictures at once was blinded by all the flashes.

@Densha Otoko: I noticed this summer more maids on the streets of Akihabara than on previous years...

@kimonobox: Thank you! That's a good idea, maybe I'll do it on the second article... :D

@Anna: Mine is the first one. :)

@GoddessCarlie: Thank you! I'm glad you like them. :)

@whipcracker: You're right...:)

This is very out of order. Taking covert pictures of people in 'twilight' jobs that they may not want their family/friends/colleagues to know about and then publishing them on the interent is big no-no. Even more so in Japan where great pains are made not to show people's faces where they have not given permission for them to be shown due to cultural sensitivities. Did you get their OK to do this? Do you know anything about Japan?

@Jonathan:
Yeah, I expected to receive this kind of feedback...
First of all, working at maid cafés it's not a "twilight" job! It is as respectable as any other job, whatever your feelings are!
Second, these pictures were not taken "covertly". I was always clearly visible and I haven't took photos of those who signaled that they don't want their photos taken or that turned away...

these girls certainly add colour and 'fun' ( in the good sense) to the city. I find their uniform appealing, espeially so as these girls look great in them! Thanks for following my blog.

That is really cool, and strange, but an awesome marketing idea. Though it would probably drive me NUTS if I lived anywhere near there. And I'm totally having to keep my feminist side in check on this one.
