Himiko and the Galaxy Express 999

When I took a ride with the water bus Himiko on the Sumida river, from Asakusa to Odaiba, I was surprised to see on the deck a few characters from the anime series Galaxy Express 999.
I found out afterwards that the ship was designed by a mangaka, the creator of Galaxy Express 999 and Captain Harlock, Leiji Matsumoto.
Himiko has a really great design, teardrop shaped, with a glass roof.

This video made by Aqua Geographic reminded me a very romantic night in Odaiba, near Rainbow Bridge.
It was silent, warm and, from time to time, a gentle breeze brought the scent of the ocean.
There where multicolored lights glowing on the other shore and ships passing on the river, some lighted with paper lanterns…

Acest videoclip realizat de Aqua Geographic mi-am adus aminte de o seară romantică în Odaiba, în apropiere de Rainbow Bridge.
Era pustiu, linişte, cald, iar din când în când o adiere de vânt aducea miros de ocean. Pe malul celălalt se vedeau lumini multicolore, iar pe râu treceau vaporaşe, unele luminate cu felinare din hârtie…
Pallete Town va fi demolat

Complexul Pallete Town din Odaiba va fi dărâmat în 2010. Cei drept, e cam ruginit… 
Toyota Motor Corp. şi Mori Building Co. vor construi un nou complex, care va fi gata parţial în 2012 şi va fi finalizat în 2013.

Fukubukuro sunt “sacoşe norocoase” cu mărfuri alese aleator, care se vând, de obicei, în prima zi a anului nou. Preţurile pot fi mai mici cu 50% sau chiar mai mult.
Anul acesta, Venus Fort din Odaiba a pus în vânzare fukubukuro mai devreme, pe data de 31 decembrie.
Şi o înregistrare de la Mitsukoshi din Ginza, unde s-au vândut în jur de 20.000 de sacoşe norocoase (cu preţuri între 100$ şi 300$).
