This article is not Japan related, but it is photography related and if you love photography, you’ll surely love the Highton-Ridley - fine art photography, a website I discovered via Google Friend Connect.

Several days ago, I was surprised to find out that I won this black & white print, created by Mark Highton Ridley. Today, I just received the print, beautifully framed and signed by the author.

As Mark says, the first think that attracts the attention is “the contrast between the rough texture of the rope against the intense smoothness of the wooden post and the blandness of the fabric background“.

I was attracted by the ray of light that falls on the rope, compelling me to pull that loop, trying to open the knot…

Am câştigat o… fotografie

Acest articol nu are legătură cu Japonia, dar are legătură cu fotografia şi dacă vă place fotografia, o să vă placă sigur Highton-Ridley - fine art photography, un site pe care l-am descoperit via Google Friend Connect.

Zilele trecute am aflat cu surprindere că am câştigat acest print alb/negru, realizat de Mark Highton Ridley. Astăzi am primit fotografia, frumos înrămată şi cu autograful autorului.

Aşa cum spunea Mark, primul lucru care atrage atenţia este “contrastul dintre textura aspră a frânghiei, suprafaţa fină a stâlpului din lemn şi fundalul textil estompat“.

Pe mine m-a atras raza de lumină care cade pe o buclă a frânghiei, îndemnându-mă să trag de ea şi să încerc să desfac nodul…

Time has passed fast and now I have reached the one year anniversary since I launched this site, muza-chan.net.

With this occasion, I’m launching a new project, a project very dear to me, on which I have been working intensively these days, the Muza-chan’s Japan Photo Gallery.

The gallery currently includes a selection of 600 photographies from Japan or Japan-related (from approximatively 8.000, at this moment ). I will add periodically new photos, so I’m inviting you to subscribe to the galleries RSS feeds or to follow me on Twitter, where I will announce the new photos.

I’m inviting you to take a virtual trip with me in Tokyo, Nikko and Hakone, to see a part of Japan as I have seen it, from temples and shrines, places full of history, spirituality and traditional culture, to the modern Japan, with sky-scrapers and pop-culture.

Timpul a trecut repede şi am ajuns la o nouă aniversare, un an de la lansarea site-ului muza-chan.net.

Cu această ocazie, lansez un nou proiect, la care eu ţin foarte mult şi la care am lucrat intens în ultima perioadă, galeria de fotografii Muza-chan’s Japan Photo Gallery.

Galeria cuprinde în prezent o selecţie de 600 de fotografii din Japonia sau în legătură cu Japonia (din aproximativ 8.000, până la această dată ). Voi adăuga periodic altele noi aşa că vă invit să vă abonaţi la RSS-urile galeriei sau să mă urmăriţi pe Twitter, unde voi anunţa noutăţile.

Vă invit să facem împreună o călătorie virtuală prin Tokyo, Nikko şi Hakone, să vedeţi o parte din Japonia prin ochii mei, de la temple şi altare, locuri încărcate de istorie şi spiritualitate până la Japonia modernă, cu zgârie-nori şi cultură pop.

I read daily, from quite some time, a series of “Japan related” blogs. After I read an article on Japan Probe, I met again many of the authors of these blogs, united on the JapanSoc community.

Then, after I joined the community, I discovered many other sites I enjoyed and added to my daily reading list. JapanSoc offers me access to an excellent selection of Japan related news and blogs, the possibility to share my views and to vote (Soc! ) my favorite articles. However, for me, more important is that I can meet and directly interact with people with the same passion as mine, to share my enthusiasm in a social network that offers a lot more possibilities than simple comments on blogs. My activity on JapanSoc is not yet as intense as I want, but it will grow in time. I already took an important step, my articles started to appear also in English language, while keeping the Romanian language for my Romanian readers. For me, it was a big joy that I could help JapanSoc, when I found out that my site was on the 6th place on the top 10 referring sites, the last month, next to valuable sites.

So, I invite you to join me on JapanSoc.com for a big daily portion of Japan related blogs, news and people!

Citesc zilnic, de multă vreme, o serie de blog-uri “Japan related". În urma unui articol de pe Japan Probe, am regăsit mulţi dintre autorii acestor blog-uri reuniţi în comunitatea JapanSoc.

Apoi, după ce m-am alăturat comunităţii, am descoperit multe alte site-uri care mi-au plăcut şi pe care le-am adăugat în lista zilnică. JapanSoc îmi oferă acces la o selecţie excelentă de informaţii şi site-uri legate de Japonia, posibilitatea de a-mi spune părerea şi de a vota (Soc! ) articolele favorite. Dar pentru mine, mai important este faptul că pot cunoaşte şi interacţiona direct cu oameni cu aceeaşi pasiune, într-o reţea socială, care ofera mult mai multe posibilităţi decât simple comentarii pe blog-urile fiecăruia. Activitatea mea pe JapanSoc nu este deocamdată atât de mare pe cât îmi doresc, dar va evolua în timp. Am făcut deja un pas important, articolele mele au început să apară şi în limba engleză, păstrând în continuare limba română pentru cititorii din România. Pentru mine a fost o mare bucurie să-mi văd site-ul listat pe locul 6 în topul celor mai bune referrals din ultima lună pentru JapanSoc, alături de site-uri valoroase.

Aşa că vă invit să veniţi cu mine pe JapanSoc, pentru o porţie zilnică de bloguri, ştiri şi oameni, toate legate de Japonia!
