Casual sightseeing in Tokyo - Inari Shrine in Akihabara

Deviating from the usual tourist routes in Akihabara, I discovered this small Inari Shrine, a jewel hidden among the high buildings, somewhere behind the Ishimaru store.

Akiba mikoshi

Last sunday, in Akihabara, an “otaku matsuri” took place. As with any matsuri, a portable shrine (mikoshi) was carried, covered with otaku decorations: a laptop, a vacuum tube, video games, software kits, manga, anime figures, cellphones, iPods and a robot on top.
The Akiba mikoshi was carried by girls dressed as maid.

Duminica trecută, în Akihabara, a avut loc un matsuri pentru otaku, pentru care s-a construit un mikoshi special, decorat cu un laptop, tuburi catodice, jocuri video, software, manga, figurine, telefoane, iPod-uri şi un robot, aşezat în vârf.
Akiba mikoshi a fost plimbat pe străzile din Akihabara, purtat de fete îmbrăcate în maid.

Yodobashi Akiba gave up to their old mascot, the waving hands friendly train…
…and replaced it with a maid: 
Drawn in the same style, with a wondering figure and, obviously, friendly. I’m looking forward to take some pictures with it. 
My favorite Akihabara mascot remains Tiger Girl, seen last year on the Tora no Ana building.

Yodobashi Akiba a renunţat la vechea mascotă, prietenosul tren care face cu mâna…
…şi l-a înlocuit cu o maid
Desenată în acelaşi stil, cu o figură mirată şi la fel de prietenoasă. Abia aştept să o fotografiez.
Mascota mea preferată din Akihabara rămâne însă Tiger Girl, de pe clădirea Tora no Ana.

Yokoso! Japan - Tokyo Colors

Un nou videoclip din seria Yokoso! Japan: Tokyo Colors, unul dintre cele mai bune videoclip-uri despre Tokyo, care conţine o selecţie a unor locuri reprezentative pentru Tokyo, prezentate în diferite anotimpuri, de la sakura înfloriţi la aleile acoperite cu zăpadă.
Am revăzut câteva din locurile mele dragi:
- la minutul 1.23 sunt secvenţe de la Sanja Matsuri care are loc în fiecare primăvară la Templul Senso-ji din Asakusa, urmat de dulciurile care se fabrică în bazarul de pe strada Nakamise,
- 4.40: o plimbare cu Yurikamome în Shiodome,
- 5.45: în Akihabara,
- 7.38: celebra trecere de pietoni în X din Shibuya,
- 10.07: iarna în grădina Palatului Imperial, la 10:35 la altarul Meiji Jingu,
- 13:17: imagini cu Rainbow Bridge
